What is Failed Back Surgery Syndrome?

Failed Back Surgery Syndrome is a condition that causes chronic pain in your back or legs following spinal surgery. Several factors may contribute to FBSS including: recurrent disc herniation, altered joint mobility, the development of scar tissue and persistent post-operative pressure on a spinal nerve. You may be pre-disposed to the condition if you already suffer from diabetes, auto-immune disease, or vascular disease.
